After Hours
When there's nobody left working.

What's inside
- The Record Shop — Dusk, lights on, four people digging through the bins under a vaulted brick ceiling. One of them caught mid-step and slightly blurred, because the exposure was long.
- The Gallery — A museum after closing, every painting in its own pool of warm light, a marble figure on a plinth, and a doorway at the end opening into a room lit noticeably colder.
- The Record — An extreme macro of a stylus in the groove, the label carrying concentric bands of Arabic, Cyrillic, Japanese and Roman letterforms as pure ornament, the grooves throwing a rainbow of diffracted light.
Plus three more, all after hours.

Every file JPEG in sRGB. The vertical versions are regenerated, not cropped — a phone wallpaper cut out of a landscape throws away three quarters of the composition.
The work behind them
Interiors live or die on one thing: two colour temperatures in the same room. Warm tungsten in the foreground, cold daylight or a cooler gallery further back. Get that wrong and a room reads as a render no matter how much detail you pile on.
The rest is the small honest stuff. Varnish glare bouncing off the surface of an oil painting. A figure blurred because nobody uses flash in a museum. Lettering left soft and unreadable, because a shop full of sharp fake words is worse than one full of blurred real ones.
Nothing here belongs to anyone else
No album covers, no film posters, no copyrighted artwork. The sleeves on the walls are invented and deliberately out of focus, and the paintings are original work in the manner of the Old Masters, whose paintings have been public domain for centuries.
